New Vs Used Pallet Racking

A question we get asked many times is whether new pallet racking is better than used. The answer isn’t a simple yes or no. What is better for one company, might not be the best option for another. We only use high quality used pallet racking, meaning you won’t have anything unsafe, majorly unsightly, or inappropriate for your storage needs. Pros of New Pallet Racking: Can have it ‘made to measure’ Manufacturer’s warranty (usually 12 months) More aesthetically pleasing Longer lasting than used racking Can cost less in the long run with repairs and wear and tear (depending on the site) Cons of New Pallet Racking: Traditionally has been...

Multi-Tier Racking and Shelving Storage Systems

The Multi-Tier Racking and Shelving Storage Systems allow for maximum storage density for shelving and negates the need to purchase a mezzanine.  It is particularly useful for small parts storage and in environments where a high-speed picking operation is desired. A multi-tier storage systems is generally constructed using standard pallet racking and shelving components.  Shelving is constructed in the same manner, however the racks frames will be 5m+ high to accomodate atleast 2 levels. This height can be increased by however much available head room there is in your warehouse allowing approx 2.5m per level.  Walkway aisles are between 900-1200mm to...

Mobile Pallet Racking

Mobile pallet racking is by far the most space efficient racking system.  The racking itself is standard wide aisle pallet racking, however with the addition of mechanical bases to move the entire rack, either a length at a time or moving large sections of the racking. This eliminates the need for aisles between the racking thus massively reducing the footprint required.  This serves a dual purpose as you can condense your existing storage to take up as little as 50% of the original floor space OR nearly double the amount stored in the same foot print area. Key Features: Upto 90%...

Push Back Racking

Push back racking is another alternative to block stacking and offers even high degree’s of protection to the racking when compared to drive-in.  Push back racking allows the storage of multiple SKU’s to be stored behind one another, thanks to the gravity fed skids once a pallet is removed from the front face, the pallet behind will replace it giving you instant access. In situations where you are able to stock multiple identical pallets in the same run, pushback is second to none.  You will always have pallets so long as your stocked as the stock at the back replaces...

Drive In Racking

Eliminate damaged goods and pallets as a result of block stacking, drive in racking is almost as effective as block stacking but much safer and will massively reduced any damaged goods.  It is a high density system best suited to storing many of the same product or in chiller areas. Drive in racking is based on the first in – first out (FIFO) principle and you can go a number of pallets deep into the racking.  You do have the option of first in – last out (FILO) using the rack as a drive through system, however this requires you...
